WebSite X5 Evo and Pro
The Blog is a part of a Website itself and, as such, it takes on the same graphic layout and template.
If you want to, you can change some aspects of the Blog pages:
- On Step 3- Sitemap Creation, select the entry Blog: Main Page available among the other Special Pages and click on the Properties button.
- Access the Page Property> Graphic window
- Select the part of the page you want to modify and use the available options to make the desired changes:
- for the Page Background and Page Content, you need to Enable the custom settings. Once that's done, you can set a Color or an Image to use as the background. Only for the Page Background, you can activate the Fixed Background Image option (to ensure it doesn’t move with the scroll), and if you are working with the Pro edition, you can insert a Link over the entire background (this can be useful, for example, if you include an advertising banner as the background).
- For the Header and Footer, you can decide to hide them.
- If you choose to insert a link to the Blog's Home Page directly in the main navigation menu (see How to Add a Link to the Blog in the Menu), you can use the Icon option to select the image to accompany the link label.
- Finally, if you wish, you can activate the Create Page Without Template option: this way, the Page is created while keeping only the contents you’ve added, and neither the Style Template nor the navigation menu is applied. In this case, you can specify the Page Width.
#tip - In addition to the graphical aspects defined by the Template, you can also customize the layout, composition, and style of the cards on the main Blog page. See: How to define the layout of the Blog Home Page.
