WebSite X5 lets you import all the main graphic formats available, and it automatically stores the images in the Library of resources connected to the Project (see: What are the Projects and the Project Library).


WebSite X5 also provides a versatile built-in editor for editing your pictures with the most common options:

  1. Select the image to work on (Image Object, Gallery Object, Shopping Cart > Product Settings > Image).
  2. Click on the Edit button.
  3. Use the various options in the Image Editor to cut, rotate and edit the image, applying filters, frames, etc.
  4. If necessary, you can make a copy of the original picture, using the Save As command.

While exporting your website online, all the images you used will automatically be optimized: they will be first resized according to the size of the cell of the Layout grid they are instead in and a copy will then be saved in compressed format (according to the Quality factor you set on the Image Object > Display window).
