WebSite X5 Pro

As you know, every website you create with WebSite X5 gives you automatically access to an online Control Panel which you can use to manage some activities: from the orders you get from the e-commerce to the comments on your Blog, to the management of newly registered users.  For each of these activities, you can also enable the possibility of getting Push Notifications so to stay up-to-date and therefore offer a more efficient service to your users.

To further improve the effectiveness of this feature, you can install the Control Panel directly on your smartphone, just like you would with an App. In this way, you will be able to access its Dashboard and receive notifications on your device, at any time and wherever you are.

The steps you need to follow are pretty easy, you basically need to create a link on your smartphone. They may change a bit according to the OS and browser you use. After you are done, you will see an icon on your smartphone main screen, which you just need to tap to open. Moreover, if you activate the notifications, you will be able to access the specific section of the online Control Panel by simply tapping on it.

Let's see what you generally have to do.

How add the Dashboard to the Android home screen

  • If you have got an Android device, open Google Chrome and access the online Control Panel
  • Open the menu by tapping the three-dot icon in the upper right corner.
  • Select the Add to the Home screen option.
  • If you want to, you can modify title and icon. When you are happy with the result, tap on Add to add in on the main screen.

The procedure is the same if you use Firefox instead of Google Chrome.

How add the Dashboard to the iPhone home screen

  • If you have got an Android device, open Safari and access the online Control Panel
  • Tap on the Share menu button
  • In the menu, scroll down and select Add to the Home screen.
  • If you want to, you can modify title and icon. When you are happy with the result, tap on Add to add in on the main screen.

Again, the procedure is the same if you use Firefox instead of Safari.
